The Youth for Environment in¬†Schools¬†Organization (YESO) serves as a significant venue for students’ actions and movements toward safeguarding, protecting and conserving the environment for future generations, develop among members and the community the proper environmental values, skills and attitudes.

Apulid Elementary School YES-O Officers participated in different activities conducted to promote awareness in protecting and conserving the environment.

1. Leadership Training for Student Leaders

Last September 13, 2019, SPG Adiver and YES-O Adviser of Apulid Elementary School organized leadership training for the officers of the two school organization. It aims to orient the student leaders about their roles in the school. Mr. Elmar F. Laxamana, Mr. Junior F. Garcia, Ms. Evelyn S. Eco serves as the speakers of the training/workshop.

2. Tree Planting Activity

YES-O officers participated in the tree planting activity conducted in the school last November 8, 2019. The participants in the tree planting activity are teaching staff of Apulid Elementary School and SPG officers. This activity raises awareness on the importance of tress in our environment and they learned to plant trees and care for them at a young age.

3. Clean Up Drive

During the BSP/GSP backyard camping, the YES-O Officers participated in the orientation about global warming. They also participated in the clean-up drive program held on September 27, 2019 at Apulid Elementary School. This program teaches the young generation on what they can do to take care of their environment.
